The LNCS series reports state-of-the-art results in computer science research, development, and education, at a high level and in both printed and electronic form. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Second International Symposium on Medical Data Analysis, ISMDD 2001, held in Madrid, Spain, in October 2001.
